Writer's Day Workshops
The Writer’s Day Workshop is open to all third, fourth, and fifth grade students.
The objective for the creative writing workshop is simple: Reading = Writing
Using, “The Sloppy Copy Slipup” and the up-coming, “Messed Up Memoir” (Holiday House, Inc., Fall 2010) students will write the beginning of their own memoir by developing their characters, slowing down, exploding a moment, adding dialogue, and learning the value of their first “sloppy copy.”
